My Two Storyboard Selections

Image
Source: storyboardthat.com I chose this template because I am actually using it for a summer project that my friends and I are currently working on. I like it because it gives a lot of space for quick sketches and words around the artworks, and allows space for the description/number of the scene and other notes or dialogue in the bottom box. I admit now that I should have chosen one with a bit more space for notes and dialogue, as I find these can be more informative and helpful than the roughly drawn sketches, but then again I have never studied storyboards besides today and have now realized there are quite a few things I could be doing. Source: medium.com I like this template a lot because I have never been a person who enjoys printed lines on a white page. I find they limit space and just get in the way. With this template, it allows lot's of breathing room for any scribbled notes I could want to add to each frame and clean boxes to sketch in. I also prefer the verti

Soundscape Project

Creating Sound Effects

The work of a Foley artists is so incredibly fascinating that I cannot wait to begin creating my own sounds to put to film. for this project, these are the sounds I hope to recreate and the materials I will need for each: Lighter  - the sound of a lighter being flicked. I will need a carabiner to recreate this sound. Dog Paws (on a hardwood floor) - the sound of dog paws/claws walking on a hardwood floor. I will need gloves, paper clips and a hardwood surface to recreate this sound. Chalk on Chalkboard - the sound of words being written on a chalkboard with chalk. I am actually not entirely sure how I will choose to recreate this sound yet. I could just record this exact sound as it happens, or find another way to recreate it. I have noticed that lightly tapping the metal end of a memory stick against the metal of the Macbook desktop sounds relatively similar, but I will figure it out. Walking/Footsteps  - the sound of someone walking in a room. I will only need shoes an

Web Design Prinicpals

In this raccoon design  by Diana Hlevnjak found on The Design Inspiration, I enjoy the cartoonish yet structured digital look of the animal's face, and the colours that Hlevnjak used in the piece. If I were adept in the art of graphic design and digital illustrations, this would be something I would try to recreate. The geometric aspect of the raccoon's face is something I find eye-catching and appealing. In this exhibit about creating textiles and furniture with material such as seaweed and algae called Waterschatten, found on Design of the World, I enjoy the colours and soft feel of the pieces comforting and aesthetically pleasing. It creates a clean look, which is something I would hope to incorporate into my website design.  Although these are sculptures made of clay, there is something about these Bizarre Human Sculptures  by Gerardo Feldstein that I can't help but love. I think it is the absurdity of them. One should be able to find the humour in the everyday, and
